1
Tank Shape
▶
Select the tank geometry best suited to your site layout and hydraulic requirements. Vertical cylindrical tanks are the most common for EQ service. Rectangular tanks are preferred where headroom is limited.
CYL-V Standard
Vertical Cylindrical
Most common for EQ service; efficient mixing; smaller footprint
RECT
Rectangular
Preferred where headroom is limited; fits existing concrete structures
CYL-H
Horizontal Cylindrical
Low-profile; above or below grade; agricultural and transportation applications
CONE
Cone Bottom
Complete drainage; settling and solids-bearing streams requiring periodic cleanout
OT
Open Top
Open-top EQ basin; concrete-integrated or freestanding steel; aeration access
CUST
Custom Shape
Non-standard geometry; provide site constraints for engineering review
2
Material of Construction
▶
Select tank material based on wastewater chemistry, temperature, and regulatory requirements. 304SS is the standard for most industrial EQ tanks. Carbon steel is cost-effective for non-corrosive streams.
CS
Carbon Steel — Epoxy Lined
Most economical; internal epoxy lining for corrosion resistance; indoor or sheltered service
304SS Standard
304 Stainless Steel
General-purpose stainless; food, beverage, and industrial wastewater; excellent cleanability
316SS
316 Stainless Steel
Chloride-bearing, acidic, or high-temperature streams; pharmaceutical and chemical service
CONC
Concrete
Large civil-integrated basins; coating liner applied; site-poured or precast
PP
Polypropylene
Excellent chemical resistance; -40°F to 200°F; plating and aggressive chemical environments
HDPE
HDPE
Below-grade or buried installations; impact and UV resistant; chemical resistant
3
Volume
▶
Select nominal EQ tank volume. EQ tanks are typically sized for 2–8 hours of average daily flow to buffer batch production and sanitation shift surges. Tenco Hydro can provide sizing assistance based on your flow profile.
G5000
~5,000 Gallons
Small facility; flow <25 GPM average; ~2–4 hrs detention
G10000
~10,000 Gallons
Small-medium facility; 25–50 GPM average
G25000
~25,000 Gallons
Medium facility; 50–100 GPM average; standard for food/bev
G50000
~50,000 Gallons
Large facility; 100–200 GPM average
G100000
~100,000 Gallons
Very large facility or extended buffer; 200–400 GPM average
GXXX
Custom Volume
Replace XXX with volume in gallons (e.g. G75000 = 75,000 gal). Range: 500–1,000,000 gal.
4
Mixing / Aeration
▶
Select the mixing or aeration method to prevent solids settling and maintain homogeneous conditions in the EQ tank. Mechanical mixing is standard for most industrial EQ tanks. Aeration is used when biological activity or odor control is beneficial.
MXR Standard
Mechanical Mixer
Top-entry or submersible mixer; prevents solids settling; VFD speed control available
AIR-D
Diffused Air Aeration
Fine or coarse bubble diffusers; mixing + DO addition; odor suppression for FOG-bearing streams
AIR-S
Surface Aerator
Floating or fixed surface aerator; open-top basins; high oxygen transfer efficiency
RECIRC
Recirculation Pump Mixing
In-tank recirculation via pump and nozzle; no separate mixer required; low maintenance
NONE
No Mixing
Quiescent settling tank; primary settling or low-solids equalization only
5
Controls
▶
Select the controls tier for the EQ tank mixer, pump, level monitoring, and integration with upstream/downstream equipment.
C0
No Controls
Motors and devices supplied for field wiring only. All starters and controls by others.
C1
Basic Level + Motor Starter
Float or probe level switch with high-level alarm. Local motor starter for mixer. Manual pump control.
C2 Standard
Level Control + Auto Pump
Radar level transmitter with 4–20 mA output. Automated feed pump start/stop based on level. High-level alarm output.
C3
PLC + Full Automation
PLC-based with HMI. Level-paced feed to downstream DAF or treatment. pH monitoring. Alarm history. SCADA/DCS interface available.
6
Accessories & Add-Ons (Optional)
▶
Select optional accessories. Multiple selections allowed.
