Coalescing OWS Configurator
Part #
OWS-[TANK]-[MEDIA]-[CONST]
1
Separator Tank — Design Flow
▶
Select the coalescing plate separator unit sized to your peak inlet flow rate. Each CPC unit is a self-contained coalescing plate separator. For flows above 200 GPM, contact Tenco Hydro for a custom multi-unit configuration.
CPC-7024
0–50 GPM
Compact coalescing plate separator; single-unit configuration
CPC-7048
51–100 GPM
Standard medium-flow coalescing separator
CPC-7072
101–150 GPM
Large coalescing plate separator; extended plate pack
CPC-7096
151–200 GPM
Maximum standard flow; full-width plate pack configuration
CPC-CUST
Custom Flow Rate
Flow >200 GPM or unusual hydraulic profile — contact Tenco Hydro for multi-unit or custom sizing

Coalescing Media Type
▶
Select the coalescing media best matched to your oil type and wastewater chemistry. Polypropylene plates are standard for petroleum-based free oils. Stainless plates are specified for high-temperature or chemically aggressive streams.
Coalescing Plates
CP-PP Standard
Polypropylene Coalescing Plates
Standard for petroleum-based free oils; diesel, hydraulic fluid, motor oil; most common selection for industrial OWS
CP-SS
304/316SS Coalescing Plates
Aggressive chemical or high-temperature service; solvents, hot process water, caustic or acid-containing streams
Fiber & Pad Media
CMP-SYN
Synthetic Fiber Coalescence Pads
Broad-spectrum oil coalescence; captures fine droplets that pass coalescing plates; secondary polishing stage
CMP-PP
Polypropylene Fiber Pads
Chemical-resistant fiber pads; acids, caustic, or mixed chemical service where synthetic fiber is insufficient
FM-POLY
Polyester Fiber Media Bed
Deep-bed fiber media for applications with variable oil concentrations and droplet sizes
FM-HY
Hydrophobic Polyurethane Foam
High surface area for fine droplet coalescence; effective for light emulsified oils and sheen removal
Cylindrical & Mesh Media
CCM-PL
Plastic Cylindrical Coalescing Elements
High surface area cylindrical elements; uniform flow distribution; easy media replacement without tank entry
CCM-MT
Metal Cylindrical Coalescing Elements
Stainless cylindrical elements for high-temperature or aggressive chemical service
MS-SS
SS Mesh Pre-Separation Screens
Coarse pre-separation screens upstream of coalescing plates; reduces plate fouling on high-solids streams
MS-PL
Plastic Mesh Pre-Separation Screens
Cost-effective mesh pre-screens for lower-flow or lower-temperature applications
Granular & Specialty Media
GM-SAND
Sand Filtration Media
Granular sand polishing stage after primary coalescing; removes fine suspended solids and residual oil droplets
GM-AC
Activated Carbon Granular Media
Dissolved organic and odor removal after coalescing; polishing stage for high-purity effluent requirements
MM-VAR
Magnetic Separation Media
Ferrous particle removal; metalworking fluids, grinding coolants, and machining wastewater with metal fines
AC-AC
Activated Carbon Block / Granular
Final dissolved hydrocarbon polishing; achieves low TPH effluent; paired with coalescing plates upstream

Tank Construction Options
▶
Select additional tank construction features. Double-walled construction provides secondary containment for regulated facilities. Underground-rated units are coated for below-grade installation.
STD Standard
Standard Single-Wall Tank
Carbon steel or stainless single-wall construction; above-grade indoor installation
DW
Double-Walled — Secondary Containment
Double-wall construction with interstitial space for secondary containment; required for regulated facilities and petroleum service
SF
Special Support Frame
Elevated or unusual installation requiring custom structural steel support frame; provide site conditions for engineering
UG
Underground / Below-Grade Rated
External coating, cathodic protection, and burial-rated fittings for below-grade installation; traffic-rated covers available
4
Accessories & Add-Ons (Optional)
▶
Select optional accessories. Multiple selections allowed.
Oil Recovery
OB
Oil Break Option
Integrated oil break pretreatment upstream of coalescing section; breaks emulsified oils before coalescence; thermal or chemical
OST
External Oil Storage Tank
Separate external tank for recovered free-phase oil; sized to oil accumulation rate and hauling frequency
IOST
Integral Oil Storage — Hopper Bottom
Hopper-bottom oil collection sump built into separator body; eliminates separate oil tank; drains by gravity
BELT
Belt Skimmer on OWS Surface
Oleophilic belt skimmer mounted on OWS surface for continuous oil recovery; Nitrile belt for petroleum oils
Media Handling
CRANE
Crane / Hoist System
Integral davit arm or overhead trolley for easy media pack removal and replacement during maintenance
RMVD
Removable Media Basket / Tray
Slide-out media tray for inspection and replacement without full tank entry; reduces maintenance time
Inlet Protection
DS
Inlet Debris Strainer
Pre-filter strainer on OWS inlet; protects coalescing media from rags, solids, and large debris
BAF
Inlet Baffle / Flow Distributor
Energy dissipation baffle at OWS inlet; reduces turbulence to protect coalesced oil layer at surface
Instrumentation & Controls
OIL-LVL
Oil Level Sensor / High-Level Alarm
Float or capacitive sensor to detect accumulated oil layer depth; alarm when oil storage capacity approached
EFFL
Effluent Oil Monitor
Online OWS effluent hydrocarbon sensor for real-time TPH or sheen detection; alarm on permit exceedance
SAMPLE
Sample Ports — Inlet & Outlet
Flanged sample tees with ball valves on OWS inlet and outlet for manual grab sampling and compliance monitoring
Install
