About Us
At Tenco Hydro, our dedication to solving wastewater treatment challenges has been unwavering since our inception in 1971. Our journey began with the creation of the first dissolved air flotation system (DAF) for soybean oil recovery, leveraging the most advanced technology of the time. This milestone marked the beginning of our ongoing quest to enhance the performance and reliability of our designs, catering to municipal sludge thickening, industrial clarification, and by-product recovery.
In 1974, we revolutionized DAF technology with new flow distribution features, significantly improving the mixing and distribution within the system for optimal performance. This led to the development of our unique pyramidal inlet structure, a hallmark of our design prowess. That same year, we introduced an innovative recycle pressurization system, setting new standards in solubilization efficiency. This culmination of advancements was branded as Clari-Float in 1976, a system renowned for its superior performance.
The innovation continued with the launch of the Skim Kleen belt oil skimmer in 1977, leading the way in oil and grease separation. Our commitment to progress was further exemplified with the installation of our first gravity scum concentrator in 1982 and the introduction of our API oil-water separator in 1983. In 1989, we introduced scum/grease concentrators that set new benchmarks for concentration efficiency, and in 1990, we integrated heated batch process tanks for enhanced grease handling, leading to the creation of the Clari-Scum concentrators and Thermix batch process tanks.
Throughout our history, we have been called upon to design specialized equipment and systems to meet unique challenges. For example, the oil concentration and transfer packages developed for the Skim Kleen were a response to a specific customer need and have since become a widely sought-after option. This approach also led to the development of our Clari-Pac C coalescing oil-water separators and Clari-Pac G clarifiers.
At Tenco Hydro, the pursuit of custom solutions is a continuous process. Grounded in sound engineering principles and backed by proven practices, we meticulously evaluate each process to recommend the most effective and cost-efficient solutions. Whether it’s a single component or a complete system, our goal is to deliver the best possible outcome for our clients, embodying our commitment to innovation and excellence in wastewater treatment.
